Nicola Gissing is an artist, photographer and illustrator living and working in Bristol. Her photographic work explores the ephemeral beauty of the world around her, whether it be seen in the textures and interplay of light and shadow of a scrap metal still-life, the sensual and abstract quality of flowers, or the changing moods of post-industrial landscapes.

"I am in essence a magpie, stealing beauty from the vast nest of the world we inhabit"

She has worked extensively with design agencies producing commissioned print illustration for major clients and large scale photographic artworks for interiors.

Nicola shows her photographic artwork regularly in the North Bristol Art Trail and has exhibited in London and Bristol.

She also offers creative art workshops and projects for schools and teachers throughout the south west.
